Still fairly useful as an advanced search engine and information aggregator, but I kinda like understanding my code and idk if I’m ready to trust it with all my code yet

It’s nice to think about finding Discord alternatives, but realistically, is anyone going to move? No one platform has all the features that Discord users have come to expect in a neat package (and Matrix calls ≠ Discord VCs, they’re closer to Discord DM calls). If an alternative is centralized and gains enough traction, it will be targeted by governments and forced to implement age verification (which is why we’re moving to begin with). Realistically, I think the mass of people will hand over their IDs or deal with being a “teen by default,” because the alternative is losing all the friends they’ve made and communities they’ve joined so far. Just my 2 cents. #Discord #LeaveDiscord #discordalternatives

Like I’m decently surprised that The Finals, a fairly demanding first-person shooter (that also thinks that “all the way up” is a good default for graphics settings, but that’s a Windows issue too), runs nearly the same as Windows after just a few launch parameter edits
