Because #Tumblr is in process of joining #ActivityPub to be connected to Mastodon. An influx of new users & bigger audience in turn draws more new people.

It can be done and in fact one new Fediverse entry, "Revolver," being developed by @p claims to be nearly unblockable from Mastodon. Revolver will be released in Alpha in the coming months: https://blog.freespeechextremist.com/blog/revolver-kickoff.html Perhaps @p can teach us a little about how Pleroma & Revolver do it?

Thank you for your reply @p 🙏

I invite you test Pleroma for yourself at: mastodon.tech for the “Twitter-like” interface & m.mastodon.tech for the “Mastodon-like” interface that runs over the Pleroma backend.
