I was gonna watch #Monsterdon this evening but then I remembered that Tubi had The People's Joker so I watched that instead. It's a #Transgender coming of age story and it's the movie I went to see in the theater the day I started HRT, 2 years ago. Also. I've now been on HRT for 2 whole years! Go Me!

@GavUnimpressive@chitter.xyz Sticking to safer spaces and going with friends helped me build my confidence at first, having spots where I was a regular. A coffee shop, the movie theater we go to every week, my job which is (luckily) super supportive. That doesn't mean I won't have a minor panic attack over the holidays in a too-small bathroom with my spouse when a child starts screaming for something completely unrelated to me. I'm almost 2 years in and while I won't say I have my presentation mailed, I was stopped from using the men's room in a bar in Rural Ohio (the ladies' was occupied). Things like that happening and having the gender marker on my Driver's License corrected both help tremendously.

I used a furry convention that I had been attending since it started over 20 years earlier as a safe place to try out being myself in public for the first time and it was... a lot. Admitting to myself that I was Trans was easier than looking myself in the mirror and telling myself that I was a woman. It was months before I could even bring myself to it, not because I didn't FEEL it but because I felt l didn't DESERVE it. It will come. it takes time. I got used to hearing my old furry name that I loved, I'm already getting used to being Myself and I love it even more. I hope it comes sooner than later for you.

@vwestlife@mastodon.social I love the Outback and have been looking for a good used one to trade my Legacy in on. I had an 03 Outback and when I called one of the mid teens one a Station Wagon I was corrected that it's an SUV. The new ones look like trash.
