Testing the new routing for both the WillCycle website and the app, to do a sample route for cycling to eldest daughter's home, and it came up with a route I've never considered, and which looks like a better option than the way I would've cycled. Happy with that!

At work, there's someone who prides themselves on their "cheeky chappy" persona. They have zero self-awareness and they deliver lame joke after lame joke, without realising nobody finds it funny. My son wants to switch to clipless pedals, so today after work, we'll go look at getting him some shoes and probably SPD pedals. I favour Time ATAC pedals, but they have a 90kg weight limit, and he's built like the proverbial brick sh*those, and weighs a lot more than that. I'm curious about whether or not he'll fall over, due to not having unclipped. I know people say it's inevitable, except it's not. I've never fallen over because of not unclipping. The app allows you to choose to have the screen on all the time, allow the screen to switch off according to the phone settings and switch on when near a junction, or to keep the screen off all the time. Your phone's screen is the single biggest battery drain, so for better battery life, it's important to manage it properly. I was toying with the idea of converting my bicycle trailer into a camping trailer, but on today's ride I had a FAR better idea: I'm going to convert it into a fairy-princess carriage, for my granddaughter! I'm extremely time poor. I have to finish the WillCycle app (nearly there), add more features to WillCycle.com, and I have to build the WillCycle WheelCounter prototype. That's all in addition to several other competing things demanding my time, and of course a full-time job. Why I chose NOW to write a new social media app is something I don't have an answer for. While the SM app is coming along nicely, it's also taking up time I should be spending on outstanding items.
