GANksy and This MP Does Not Exist are still there, they used neural networks we trained from scratch (rather than hoovering up the entire internet then typing a prompt)
Here’s our AI content policy, we were one of the first (if not THE first) sites to have a public-facing one: https://vole.wtf/blah/#ai

Over 450 copies of DOCTYPE have now been sent out, with some lucky people getting it for Christmas
https://vole.wtf/doctype/
We’re even investigating the possibility of releasing it as an audiobook...
🚀 We’re STILL getting people asking for a PDF/download of DOCTYPE even though the page makes our stance on the matter very clear https://vole.wtf/doctype/#faq
🚀 Still not too late to order DOCTYPE before Christmas but it’s getting tight for some parts of the world
Don’t disappoint the nerds in your life (including yourself)

@spanezz Wouldn't actually need to mangle it - we tested the code from the final PDF and in places there are duplicate/broken/joined lines due to how DTP layout works, it was quite challenging to copy & paste from

Everything’s now got 4K 60fps HDR video, booooring. Embrace the low-res glitchy look instead

@teamonkey Sadly it seems unlikely enough people would be interested to cover duplication & shipping, but maybe it'll happen

@paul_edwin@mastodon.beer DDG does tend to have its quirks/limitations, download link just points to a Blob of data so I'm guessing downloads are either limited to certain file types or disabled
Does it play the compressed, glitchy recording OK?

@paul_edwin@mastodon.beer I've seen various grumbles about download links weirdly breaking in DDG browser over last few years but it could be more specific, I'll see if I can reproduce it sometime
