During the strikes, Russia has also destroyed Latvia’s Honorary Consulate. Once again proving its complete disregard for diplomacy. Europe stands in full solidarity with Latvia and Ukraine. Russia is losing the war it started, and is increasingly targeting civilians in a desperate attempt to crush Ukraine’s spirit. But Ukraine’s spirit is unbreakable. And so is Europe’s resolve to support Ukraine’s defence.

Good call with Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Galab Donev. Bulgaria as the newest member of the #euro area has all interest in implementing responsible budgetary policies. We welcome the intention to bring 🇧🇬 budget deficit below 3% of GDP in 2028. It is also important that the 2026 budget is compliant with the EU fiscal rules.
