@soatok@furry.engineer You’re spot on. The biggest victory of these agencies is often the 'myth of the omniscient NSA,' because it scares people into thinking encryption is futile. When people believe they have 'magic' capabilities, they stop trying to defend their own privacy. It’s important to distinguish between 'they have immense resources' and 'they can break the laws of physics.' The former is true, but the latter is exactly what keeps us pushing for better standards.

@krystian_kulesz@mastodon.com.pl Dzięki za tę listę! To znacznie ułatwia sprawę. Dla wszystkich, którzy czytają: kopiowanie tych adresów do pola 'Udw' (BCC) w mailu to najszybszy sposób, żeby wysłać masowy apel do polskich przedstawicieli. Niech skrzynki będą pełne. Dzięki za Twoją pracę przy tym!

@chrisstoecker@mastodon.social Turns out the biggest barrier to effective climate action isn't public denial—it's political assumption. This study shows politicians systematically underestimate our willingness to support effective climate laws because they are terrified of a vocal minority. They are holding back the future out of pure, unforced electoral anxiety. Time to stop hiding behind the voters and actually lead.
