Occasional posts regarding Mac Administration from an Apple and Jamf Specialist at a Swiss University, randomly also with a Ph.D. concerning constraints on CO2 solubility in glacial meltwater.
Today's stuff
1. Embellished Toolkit for MSP to allow scoping VPP apps to directory groups.
2. Answering a bunch of tier 2 and 3 customer requests (one of which required the change in point 1).
3. Preparing data for next week's customer cloud migrations.
4. Fixing some issues with some of the JamfUploader processors' ability to ingest JSON.
Apple's Passwords app has lost two of my 2FA entries. Stupidly I kept the backup codes in the same entry, which also disappeared.
It's really quite difficult recovering an account where you lose the 2FA. But there's no way to add the same code to two different Authenticator apps, right?
It's a shame that I've now lost trust in Passwords as it is the most convenient 2FA app for Apple devices.
Today's stuff? Ok
1. A new script to create an API role and client for JamfUploader and store it in your keychain. First step towards adding this to MJT.
2. A new JamfUploader processor for enabling/disabling policies, EAs, and App Installer apps. It's called JamfObjectStateChanger.
3. 20 more Jamf Pro cloud migrations.
Today's stuff
1. Overseeing 20 Jamf cloud migrations
2. Preparing the schedules for the migrations in two weeks
3. Pushed a fix to JamfUploader to address problems getting an OAuth token.
4. Pushed a new pre-release of erase-install to improve version comparison logic when beta builds are involved.
5. Pushed a new pre-release of Toolkit for MSP with improved logging.
