26/09/2026 - First new hills after sunset for us this year. Good to be night walking again. Goyle Hill in Aberdeenshire and the hill next door. We had our tea by the trigpoint at the top of Goyle Hill as we waited for sunset. It's been 17 years since our last visit here. Lovely views of the surrounding hills. Twilight walk down and then a very dark walk up the next hill. The trig for this one is hidden away in the trees. Good fun finding it in the dark.
27/09/2026 - Evening walk after the rain. The evenings are dark now. Sunset is 6:53pm and night 9:04pm. Big shiny moon tonight and the stars were magic. It was a nice way to end the weekend.
23/09/2026 - Evening walk, not far just up and down the road. I've not been walking much in the evenings the last few weeks. It was good to be out. The low sunlight looked lovely on the few wild flowers still about.
24/09/2026 - Biscuits get me through a working day. Today's plate had the winning combination of Fox's Golden Crunch Creams and Mcvities Chocolate Hobnobs.
24/09/2026 - I'm feeling a bit fed up today. Mrs Spaceways has conjured up a bag of Tayto crisps out of nowhere to cheer me up. I love Tayto crisps!
20/09/2026 - Today's bus adventure was to Colpy in Aberdeenshire for a walk up two hills, Hill of Foudland and Hill of Tillymorgan, either side of the big road. It was sunny but a bit breezy on the tops.
02/09/2026 - Dark evening walks now, I like this time of year.
05/09/2026 - Back walking the quiet roads after a few days away. It was sunny and peaceful, just what we needed. A hummingbird hawkmoth at the cafe was the pick of the day but there were lots of other nice things about too. I like days like this, I didn't want the walk to end.
