What does not kill you

What does not kill you
Gives you neverending nightmares
Mollie Elizabeth - Run Rabbit
___
At the core of my precious afghan hound existence lies the lasting impact of all the trauma he endured. Everything he has been through has made him unable to empathize with others, emotionally numb and blind to suffering. Only his pain matters... or rather how to avoid it.
Over time, he developed a deep conviction that he is above everyone else, while his experiences taught him that trust is nothing more than a weakness that could eventually be exploited.
Lazarus became increasingly paranoid about protecting himself. His confidence, flamboyant presence and theatrical arrogance became a mask hiding a deeply insecure and frightened man who constantly expects betrayal.
The person he once was - the empathetic, kind, and genuinely helpful man who cared about others - doesn't exist anymore and there's no way back. He has built so many walls around himself that he can no longer hear the people trying to reach him. He refuses advice, rejects compassion and interprets genuine concern as a threat to his independence.
Well... He's just my beautiful, insecure diva ❤️.
