Probably because the owner actually has an AI service.
Although I can’t say for all of the community, their AI horde is pretty great compared to big AI companies. They are volunteer run, so there’s no monetary incentive to provide your compute power. You’re literally giving your electricity so that someone else can generate stuff.
Aside from running locally, I think it’s the most ethical way to run AI. Of course it doesn’t fix all the remaining problems, and compute power could be spent in better ways, but I still say that, even as an anti-ai, it’s a good thing to have better alternatives than just big bad corporations

For info, dbzero is a pro-ai instance. It’s not that they struggle to moderate it, they just accept it. Which is bound to happen on the fediverse. See my other comment for more info

Never said that. In fact, enums have lots of issues that can add a lot of boilerplate code.
But actually having data associated with the type system instead of just a flag is a lot more powerful and less prone to errors than classic enums
You can also put functions on this union type that allows easy abstraction of what state the union is in

What you did with your script is assemble smaller scripts you didn’t do together. The composition is what you actually made
With AI, you do vet on the composition. You say yes to adding code.
To take the other commenter’s analogy, before you asked for the raw ingredients at subway to make your sandwich, now you let the cashier do it. It may be the same way as you would have, but it’s not you that made any of it. You made the concept, not the physical result

I personally only bridge my posts to it. If they starts really being shitty (like twitter) I’ll disconnect it.
TBF I only bridge for the convenience of my followers. I do not like how this whole app/protocol is handled

THEY ATE THE ONION!
Jokes aside, Malus is fake, but I wouldn't be surprised that a company will make it real...

I love git flow but the GitHub tooling is bad. It forces you into GitHubflow which is very confusing for those building from source

In development. You may want to test the endpoint using curl or something like that

Oh no.
I already hate apis that requires tokens. It's awful to use manually

Yeah, but It's more that you probably already have a browser open, so it's better to just reuse the resources
Also, just replace it with your favourite browser. It should also just work

2B2T already ahead of you guys.
Although funnily enough, the other day I was talking about programming and art being the same as gaming, and you wouldn’t let an ai play your games for you

TBF, he’s right. AI won’t destroy the world. Humans using AI will.

I don’t understand why people hate the borrow checker. Just make sure that you own the value until everything is done using it, or put it into a smart pointer

I should probably put my OC stuff on there then. It’s always been such a weird community that you don’t really know what it does until you’ve been on Lemmy for a while
