I’m relieved that the House just passed a short-term funding bill. Once again, House Democrats provided the lion’s share of votes to avert an economically disastrous shutdown and keep our government running. 82 Republicans voted against it.
The bill now heads to the Senate:
Replacing our federal workforce with Trump loyalists would be disastrous for our economy, anyone who believes the government should work well, and for those who lose their jobs. I will work tirelessly to protect our civil service from Trump's attacks.

Everyone – regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or disability – deserves safety, dignity, and justice.
Despite their claims to support IVF, Senate Republicans just blocked passage of legislation that would codify IVF protections into law for the second time this year.
