one problem with some social democrat tendencies, such as orthodox trotskyism, is that you can only attack its social democratic and opportunist characters. you can't really call it revisionist (unless we're making claims about what amounts to even a degenerated proletarian dictatorship, which is still ultimately attacking its social democracy), which, as a Marxist freak, definitely takes out the fun.

@lucy_idk yes except I think it might be clearer to say that social democracy is an incarnation of capitalism, as much as fascism is. Both supposedly opposed doctrines adhere along this mode of production, violated only for its own sake. Liberalism, it's norm, thus appears as a rational antidote for the symptoms of the system rather than its overcoming. So whenever a fear of peace or worker power arises we see the fascist turn like today, because liberalism has been ideologically bankrupt since 1929.
