So yeah, that's why care homes call the fire departments to lift a fallen resident.

These people honestly believe this. This is what they're taught, from birth. Somehow, as adults and near adults, they lack the capacity for self-awareness, questioning, self-reflection, much like other abusers.

When I think of the real circumstances on the ground that these states faced, how little they had to do with, and how constricted their ability to make any real changes, I'm really amazed that they had any success at all, and... I kind of see why vassal states are afraid to make a break for it. It's like being tethered with a slipknot around the neck. The only solution is sever the tether, risk breaking your neck, or be strangled slowly with any movement made, or have the captor tighten or loosen the noose to whatever degree and how slowly or quickly as dictated by their caprices.
Purported health benefits, and it's tasty. I had academia toast with tomatoes, feta, salt, pepper, tumeric, a little olive oil, this morning for breakfast. I don't know about golden oat milk, but I like oat milk, and yes, I make golden milk, sometimes before bed.
I pretty much add seasonings for the flavor and health benefits. Golden milk is delicious. I add tumeric, salt and pepper, if nothing else, but I also enjoy cardamon, onions, bay laurel, garlic, oregano, basil, cumin, mustard, cinnamon, ginger, lemon, tarragon and other mints. They all incidentally make good teas.
Because that's fair, and these people should have to pay true market value and the cost of healing the environmental damage. If that includes desalinization and reforestation, so be it.

It’s not. It’s state propaganda, and they’re not even discreet about it.
That explains the wave of "Nord Publishing" United 24 bots that were ubiquitous on Lemmy a couple of months ago.
Ukraine is being used as a testing ground for NATO’s military-industrial ambitions, its forces deployed to generate combat experience with drones and tactics that can then be shared with other NATO members. This is, in the clearest possible terms, a proxy war, and the proxy is being destroyed.
And these tactics will be turned upon the West's own children and elderly, to press them into conscription for Western business interests, like they have Ukraine's children and elderly.
Of course, if you define Ukraine as its puppet government, controlled by NATO and kept in place by the same Western powers that benefit from every day this war continues, then yes, they want to keep fighting. It is not their children being sent to die. Zelensky’s children live safely outside Ukraine, as do the children of the vast majority of the Rada. The West is determined to fight Russia until the last Ukrainian. And the Ukrainian people, the real Ukraine, the only Ukraine that matters, have made clear that they are no longer willing to be the last Ukrainian.

The presidential race will be decided on October 4 and is comprised of opinion poll leader Lula da Silva of the Worker’s party (Partido dos Trabalhadores), Ronaldo Caiado of the Social Democratic Party (Partido Social Democrático), and US puppet Flávio Bolsonaro of the Liberal Party, who polls in at second.
Lula da Silva (or Lula), a former trade unionist and metalworker, is running for his third non-consecutive term as Brazil’s president. During his first consecutive terms from 2003-2011, Lula garnered an 80% approval rating, one of the highest in Brazil’s history. An avid promoter of social welfare, environmental conservation, and workers rights, Lula poses a significant obstacle to US footing in Brazil.
Ronaldo Caiado, the right-wing Governor of Goiás and presidential candidate for the Social Democratic Party, comes from an affluent family of landowners and oligarchs. One must take care lest the name of the party suggests otherwise. The Social Democratic Party is not leftist, but rather, a centrist one claiming to unite both the left and right. The “big-tent party” was founded in 2011 and strives for a more pragmatic stance on Brazilian affairs and is interestingly more left or right leaning depending in which Brazilian state it presides..
