I believe that software must be preserved and accessed by everyone, without a paywall or burden. I also believe that the web must be free, and open to everyone, contributing to a bit of it, and making sure that info can be sent without any problems.

@retrimental@mastodon.social From what I heard from a few Linux users, Realtek is practically the most painful to set up, and would recommend me Intel... mainly because of how Realtek handles their drivers apparently
After nearly 2 years, an update to The Penultimate RISC OS Archive has been released! This includes RISC OS Select media, as well as more goodies! This update now takes up 7.9GB, so please keep in mind.
Just a heads up for my #Filipino fediverse (and Bluesky) folk:
Are you familiar with something called Bayanihan Linux? If so, then if you have copies of versions 1.0 to 4.0, Bayanihan Linux Government Edition, and the Bayanihan Linux 5 add-on discs, please let me know.

Oh hey, haven't seen you there. Happy 2026! (even though we're already in it for 10 days and have ALREADY made a historical moment)
hi. im kinda fine atm.
I bet my 50 cents (around 30PHP) that #Microsoft will revive the #Encarta encyclopedia but this time powered solely by #Copilot (seeing #Grokipedia) #tech #technology #random #ai #bullshit
If you don't own physical media, just remember that they couldn't get your *legally obtained* MP3s as well. #tech #technology #media
Is it just me or does archive.org constantly have a 503 error right now? (or a DDOS attack?)
hi. im still alive. just gotten so busy i haven't posted that much since who knows when here.

@Gargron@mastodon.social If you are really thinking deep about it, Apple after the death of Steve Jobs is a luxury brand than an innovative tech company.
While their stuff is cool and hip all from my perspective, their stuff is extraordinarily expensive, their ecosystem limits what you can do with it, and the garden wall approach.
This is a move prioritizing money rather than innovation and this isn't sadly unusual as the world slowly turns into a place of greed.
