Tropes and cliches are like pizza and milkshakes and fries. They may not be astounding and new, but they are delicious and we all have our favorites.
If you find yourself writing the same ones all the time, awesome! Call it your brand and enjoy what you love.
It is super important to set small goals when writing a novel and not push past them. Trying to write 10k a day is a fun experiment, but not sustainable in the long term. If you want a career you need to be able to set small goals and keep them small.
If you can take your character out of the book and nothing about the ending changes, they aren't the main character.

The whole point of a Developmental Edit, whether you're an experienced author or not, whether you're a plotter or pantster, is to make the book look cohesive and like you planned it that way all along. Most foreshadowing is done in edits (or by accident).

Start with lower stakes and then escalate as the book progresses, often forcing the characters to choose from their original goal to another one and using the friction of indecision to power the plot.

If you find you make the same mistakes repeatedly (forgetting to intro characters, leaving out descriptions in action scenes, make all the paragraphs a uniform length, ect)... put that on your Editing List and stop stressing it! You can fix that in edits.
