A couple of boxes of mainly punk/new wave singles successfully bid on at an auction earlier this week. Approximately 120 singles. Probably paid more than I should have! #Vinyl #Punk #NewWave

@TheVinylApe@cupoftea.social I have the 7 inch that came with the first 75,000 UK copies. The 7 inch single was pressed on white vinyl but the colour has changed over time! The colour change does not seem to have impacted the sound (just given it a listen). #Vinyl

A trip to Cowley Road in Oxford last night to see Inspiral Carpets who were supported by the rather good The Rolling People (see picture of a couple of them, they didn’t look old enough to drink). Inspirals were also very good, they even did quite a few numbers from their upcoming album. #Gigs

Planted a few different varieties of courgettes this year which are all growing quickly. #GrowYourOwn #Vegtables

#NowPlaying Seven Wonders Of The World by Cinerama on Scopitones records from 2014. Double LP compilation of some of the Cinerama singles from the early 2000s. #Vinyl

A sweltering afternoon gig at Dublin Castle, John Otway and Attila The Stockbroker performing Cheryl - A Rock Opera from the early 90s. It was an experience. #Gigs

@TheVinylApe nice to see a cover that is in worse shape than the one I have. Wasn't Growing Up And I'm Fine written by Bowie ? Did get to see Mick Ronson when he toured with Ian Hunter in 1990.

My squash plants are in the process of taking over the world, I can’t remember them ever being this well established in early July. #Gardening #Squash

#NowPlaying CD copy of Beyond The Sun by Billy MacKenzie on Nude Records from 1997. Random selection from the ever growing pile of charity shop CDs that have yet to be listened to. #CD

#NowPlaying listened to a few more of the singles from the auction boxes from earlier this month. They have hardly been played by the previous owner. Shame the Ruts one is a repress from later in 1979. #Vinyl
