I think it's settled, Pursuit of Jade (Zhu Yu) will be my next binge #cdrama - I already liked the trailer a lot, but so far it has even exceeded my expectations. It makes me laugh and say Awwww a lot. ^^ The wintry scenes are gorgeous as well.

I also like that the writing makes a lot of sense in the details. When Yan Zheng writes a secret message, he doesn't magically have ink in his room, he uses a charred chopstick from his dinner tray. Or even the play on his name that he comes up with and that nearly gives him away.

One thing I love about the new cdramas is that they feature some incredibly wholesome couples. They have conflicts, of course, but they can sit down and talk in a mature way about them. And yes, it's still exciting to watch. Western producers should learn something from the success these dramas are having right now.
