If they pass through Google infrastructure, then it's a no. Also, why would you have to pay for something that should be a completely free and basic feature? They're completely off the rails.

Yeah, but she was fucking conscius, reasoned, premeditated and planned everything. I'd love to have a mental illness like that if it actually existed...

I don't get why the fuck are you getting downvoted if you're saying the actual and only truth. They have a centralized infrastructure, need lots of permissions that are unnecesary for an app like that, require you to use a phone unless you pay, and, exactly as WhatsApp (and, surprisingly, unlike Telegram), they don't want unofficial clients because that way they'll lose control, while using paternalistic "it's for your security" arguments. They're just a wolf disguised as a sheep.

That "it's not going away" attitude is the fucking problem... We should fucking fight it, either by good or by bad, because that defeatism is what they want, they want us to think that TINA, then, little by little, force ourselves to do things that at first would seem unacceptable to us.

Yeah. The point is that it can be a slippery slope. Everybody (myself included, I have to be honest bcs well, I'm a very stupid human after all) will be calling anything we don't like something fascist, thus making it a worthless term. That's what actual fascism want. Thus, we should be way more careful with the use of that word.

Download statistics for every app (which is neat because that can indirectly tell me how good is an app), also it shows the reproducible builds' status for every app, allows you to directly scan an app through Exodus so you can have a detailed view of its possible trackers, also it lets you blocklist apps (althought I'd love it to let me blocklist authors too, and the UX is a bit slow for now as it requires you to go throught the settings to be able to do it), the y have a reasonably big amount of preconfigured repos and make the process of adding new repos way easier than other clients, their UI is just beautiful and now they made it hugely customizable, and they have so many QOL features that's a breeze to use.

Yeaaa, like, the level of premeditation and reasoning is incompatible with a mental illness like that. But hey, she's a woman, and women can't be bad nor commit any crimes, they're always victims and men are always criminals, yk, totally common sense. I'd love to see the reactions if she were a male and not a female.

Based. "Nooo, but XMMP and Matrix can be so hard for normies" Ewww... Not actually, that's only if the client has a horrible UX, but Conversations and Cheogram for XMPP and idk, Extera Next or Sable Next for Matrix are pretty straightforward for that.

Cloudflare is shit. They're a diabolic extractive, toxic and anti-user megacorpo, they sell our metadata and telemetry, they censor us and can arbitrarily impose arbitrary terms or actions on users, terminates TLS when the data gets to their server, thus the data is decrypted when traveling from Cloudflare's server to the requested host or direction, and when acting as a CDN or security layer, they're actually a MITM intercepting and deciphering all the HTTPS traffic, then arbitrarily inspecting it in opaque ways. I don't even know why or how so many people choose to believe them, even lots of "privacy concerned" users and "privacy-friendly" tools like if Cloudflare were any privacy-friendly at all. If you're supposedly privacy concerned and/or privacy-friendly, but keep using Cloudflare software and services, then you don't care about privacy at all.

i3 is way too barebones. Also it's not as extensible as KDE. Also it's strictly tiling, while most ppl prefers stacking and/or floating WMs.

Also, it's tainted:

Look further here for actual alternatives.

I was grown myself as a Catholic. And no, what you're saying is false. It might be sort of the "official stance", even though contradicted from one document to another (in the catechism it says that not believing is a cardinal sin, for example, which means that just by consistently refusing to believe, you go to hell, for example), but even if so, most of practitioners just believe that atheist or agnostig = dangerous, criminal, ill and will and SHOULD go to hell, and even worse if you critisize religion.

As a programming newcomer AND a dyscalculic, which ones are the best programming languages to learn that aren't tainted by AI and the best resources to learn them?

I have to start this specifying and expanding on what I refer when I say that I'm dyscalculic:

  1. I have both types of developmental dyscalculia.
  2. The functional type of dyscalculia I have is the intermediate dyscalculia; citing the dyscalculia definition page in Edubloxtutor, it's the «inability to work with symbols and numbers, especially when abstract signs (like √, ×, ) or large figures are involved. This type often overlaps with conditions like dyspraxia or dyslexia.» I don't have dyslexia though, but idk about the dyspraxia.
  3. I have the lexical and operational forms of dyscalculia. As per Edubloxtutor:
    • Lexical dyscalculia: This subtype refers to difficulties in reading and recognizing mathematical symbols, such as digits or operation signs. Students with this subtype may misread symbols (e.g., confusing a “6” with an “8” or “+” with “×”), which interferes with both understanding and solving problems.
      • I don't have so many difficulties with digits, only when they're either too big or too small, or if they have too many decimals.
    • Operational dyscalculia: Even when students understand the symbols and concepts involved, they may still struggle to carry out the steps of arithmetic operations (like borrowing or carrying in subtraction and addition). Operational dyscalculia reflects a breakdown in the ability to perform calculations in a logical and sequential manner.
  1. My cognitive subtype is the Memory Dyscalculia: «Weaknesses in both working memory and long-term memory, particularly in recalling arithmetic facts, procedures, or sequences.»
  2. I also struggle with ADHD and autism, as well as bipolar disorder, so these four things interact.
  3. I'm confident in that I'm actually really strong in formal logic, although only in natural language, because in symbolic formal logic I'm horrible (and that is to be expected, tho, because I struggle with abstract symbols in general); curiously, or perhaps predictably, and maybe I'm that good in logic because I'm that bad in maths.

So, what I would like to know is, are there any programming languages (or maybe some libraries) that, despite being (or making these not-so-dyscalculic-friendly languages) accesible and not too math-centered (I want to avoid them as much as possible) and with a friendly learning curve, don't sacrifice that much performance, efficiency, lightweightness, security and all that?

I'm particularly obsessed with performance, lightweightness and efficiency because I have a PC that, despite being actually decent (screenshot below), I constantly do hardware-intensive things and I love ricing, customizing and having powerful and featureful tools, but most of them are just so bloated (i.e. most Zettelstaken-style outliners are or written with Electron [or even Tauri], or too bare-bones, and I want both featurefulness AND efficiency, functionality AND lightweightness [I hate Suckless btw]).

Also, I need to know, what are the best tutorials (if they're in Spanish, better, because I only understand well the written English, I struggle with spoken English), courses (same here) and resources in general to learn programming that are dyscalculia-friendly (better if they're explicitly tagged or categorized as such)?

I feel really alienated because most of them do assume that you're idk, Ramanujan, or something like him, at least from my perspective and lived experience, and I'd really love to be able to program my own tools and to be able to contribute to projects I like with features I'd love to see there, and to fork some tainted projects and make an untainted version, etc.

TL;DR:

I have developmental dyscalculia (both functional and cognitive subtypes): intermediate functional (struggles with abstract symbols and large numbers), lexical (misreads math symbols, especially with many decimals or extreme sizes), operational (can't execute sequential arithmetic steps), and memory-based (poor working/long-term recall of arithmetic facts and procedures). I also have ADHD, autism, and bipolar disorder, which all interact. I'm strong in natural-language logic but weak in symbolic logic (expected, given my symbol difficulties).

What I'm asking:

  1. Languages/libraries: Which programming languages or libraries are not math-heavy, have a gentle learning curve, and still deliver good performance, efficiency, and lightweightness? I want to avoid Electron/Tauri bloat and Suckless bare-bones; I want both featureful and efficient.
  2. Learning resources: What tutorials, courses, or resources exist that are explicitly dyscalculia-friendly (or at least don't assume strong number sense)? Spanish is strongly preferred; written English is fine, spoken English is not.

Goal: Build my own tools, contribute features to projects I like, and fork/fix projects that are tainted by AI.

PS: I mean tainted as per OpenSlopware definitions
