The weirdness is much less visible in Primeagen’s content nowadays (albeit I’ve almost completely stopped watching it), I’m not overly surprised devault has nothing concrete to point at - in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if he has scrubbed the more egregious things from his youtube channel. It’s never been big attention-grabbing things but more a certain level of crypto-fashy offhanded remarks and general vibes - been brought up in the weekly snarks a few months back. The biggest recent criticism I could make is having DHH on fire over an hour with allegedly no pushback on how terrible his “distro” is given how much primagen supposedly prides himself on his technical prowess. Then again, he’s not using omarchy himself so what does he care if the rubes in his audience get duped into trashing their machines?

Yup! YAML is defined as a "strict superset" of JSON (or at least, it was the last time I checked). It's a lot like markdown and HTML; when you want to write something deeply structured and somewhat complex you can always drop back/down to the format with explicit closing delimiters and it just works™.

I guess it only makes sense that after Liquid Ass UI, we'd get Fuzzy Toilet Seat UI

It's ludicrous to pay taxes on the wealth your robots make, but it's savvy business to charge each software-delimited robot as a separate being - just like charging per-cpu-core was!

Yeah, go big or go home with this kind of stuff. Give me some Linux kernel source code, maybe even some well-known RFC!

Then I guess it's time to put "AI" (actually 3 if-statements in a trench coat) into all my software projects so they can legally jailbreak corporate software!

It's been a while since I set up my runner, and I have it on my personal desktop (which is wayyyyyy beefier than the VPS I host my forgejo instance on), but I'm pretty sure I was able to specify that only my user account can trigger actions to be run on this runner. What I'm getting at is that there is a decent amount of granularity for forgejo action permissions; you should be able to find a balance that suits you between "no actions at all" and "anyone can run any code they desire on your server".

Beyond all Reason also does this amazing thing where, once all players have joined the map in-game, you get up to a minute to plan out you build order before the game's clock actually starts.

Honestly that description kinda makes me want to target servo for all of my hobby browser-backed UIs. Html5 with forms can do a surprising amount (albeit not always as effortlessly as just including a JavaScript library) - thigh I expect something like IndexedDB isn’t at all available?

If anyone is interested in a more thorough and recent write-up of why many of us call DHH fash, this gnome blog post is pretty good: …gnome.org/…/dhh-and-omarchy-midlife-crisis/

Very disappointing. It would be nice for them to release even just the server binary so we can self host the handshake/peering/relay part… I guess I’ll have to check out their “Remote Development” plugin/tools to see how exactly they differ. Maybe it’s time to try decompiling the CodeWithMe plugin when they release it to prepare for the full sunset of the tool?

Unsure if this is already your point or not, but, my question is: at what level of automation does it cease to be “selectively raiding the mainstream” and turn into “importing/copying the mainstream wholesale”?
