I worry that the popular vocabulary used when talking about removing dependencies on US owned big tech encourages nationalism and division. We need privacy and security but not by treading the same nationalistic path of those we want to avoid.
We need cooperative communities, borderless privacy, and to avoid using the same terms and rebuilding the same walls as our oppressers.
