After last week's radio buzz, the conversation moved to NOS TV. The consensus? A sovereign Netherlands depends on #OpenSource.

Great to see Frank Feldmann (SUSE), Jos Poortvliet and Chris Hendriks leading the charge.

Ready to move from policy to proof? Use these tools:
🔹 Open Cloud Framework
🔹 SUSE’s Self-Assessment

You can have both: Privacy AND Collaboration. 🔐🤝
Just watched and enjoyed a great session by Ludovic Dubost at #FOSSnorth2026. The highlight? Seeing how #CryptPad shatters the myth that working together requires sacrificing your data.
By using end-to-end encryption by default, CryptPad delivers:
✅ Zero-Knowledge Collaboration
✅ Full Data Sovereignty
✅ Open Source Transparency

#SUSECON here we come! #GeekoOnTour to Prague by train. #SUSE #GoGreen
See you this evening?

Great energy at #OPEN26 in Antwerp! Together with Peter Dens from Kangaroot, we highlighted a crucial truth: true #DigitalSovereignty requires #OpenSource. 🐧

I called for a Belgian chapter (#BOSBA) to join the European APELL network, and 6 amazing folks immediately stepped up! 🙌

Curious how sovereign your IT stack is? The EU Cloud Sovereignty Framework (SEAL 0-4) is the new standard. Test it with SUSE's self-assessment.

Next year, BOSBA takes the stage! 🚀

The Tide is in our favor, let's use it!
Getting ready for DOSBA General Assembly. Looking forward to meet the leading #OpenSource Companies from the Netherlands again this evening. Thanks to our member Proxy Services for hosting this event. @dosba@mastodon.nl

Heading to #SUSECON2026 in Prague via Berlin, and I’m definitely not subtle. Green hoodie, flat cap, and zero laptop—just a walking SUSE billboard. 🦎
The guy next to me notices the Geeko. "SUSE?" he asks.
"Yep!"
"Small world. I worked there... about 15 years ago."
Turns out I’m sitting next to @kaysievers@mastodon.social (udev, systemd). We spent the trip swapping stories about Jiri Kosina, Matthias Eckermann, Ralf Flaxa, and Gerald Pfeifer. 🐧

Day 2 of FOSS-North is about to start. I used a rental bike to get from my hotel to get to the beautiful Chalmers University of Technology to drive right through the friendly city of Gothenburg in Sweden.
Now Daniel Stenberg, at 14:00 it is my turn: "Open by Design, Sovereign by Choice." I'll dive into the EU Cloud Sovereign Framework: https://lnkd.in/eyws_uiP 🌞

We give you a single pane of glass, not a single glass of pain." 🍷🚫

Frank Feldmann hitting the nail on the head at #SUSECON26. The message is clear: Digital Sovereignty isn't just a buzzword; it’s an architecture.

Whether it's your OS, your Kubernetes clusters, or your new #AI stack, if you don't have an exit strategy or an "innovation pivot," you aren't a customer—you're a prisoner.

Choose open. Stay sovereign.

I told Kay it was amazing to hear about the "highest ranks" of the industry from the source.
He just laughed: "Highest ranks? It was more like **Kindergarten**." 😂
Attached: A legendary selfie. Kay with the @Suse@mastodon.social mug, me beaming, and a fellow passenger in the back blissfully sleeping through a Linux history summit. 😴
Next stop: Prague! See you all at the playground. 🇨🇿✨

Back from a whirlwind #KubeCon! 🚀

Started with a keynote at Open Sovereign Cloud Day: "EU Cloud Framework Explained." Overwhelmed by the response at the #SUSE booth!

Digital Sovereignty is the priority. My message to Open Source IT companies: join forces in #DOSBA or #APELL. We are stronger together! 🤝

Open Source & Digital Sovereignty go hand in hand! 🛠️
