It's very intentional, because he communication bites like a bird does, but I don't know where he'd have learned it. so most of the time the bites aren't even in danger of breaking skin, unless your skin is fragile or there's a motion accident at the same time.

@georgepenney We handled the blocklists and reports for an instance for some time. It was tiny, less than twenty accounts, and its sole mod at the time didn't have any time left over for the sheer amount of research and social processing that entails. And it is a lot of both. you need a forgiving job, nothing to do with your free time, or to be an inevitable sort of personality type in order to be a good Fedi mod and keep track of all of that, it's bad, we've seen some shit, lol.

Admittedly I don't look at as much stuff without alt text, but I wouldn't block over it not being there unless the poster is an ass about it, which you're not.
And it's worth it to go into the thread on something without alt text because especially around here, someone will often provide context.
