Letzte Woche haben LKlappenbach, TWestphal + ich den Posteraward bei der #deRSE26 in Stuttgart gewonnen! Unser Feminist-Post-Punk-inspiriertes Poster „genderTagger: Ein spielerisches RSE-Tool zur Gender-Annotation in Digital-Humanities-Workflows” ist hier verfügbar: https://zenodo.org/records/18863389

Der genderTagger ist ein Tool zur Gender-Klassifikation in Personenregistern digitaler Editionen u setzt dabei auf ein kaskadierendes Verfahren aus Normdatenabgleich, statistischen Methoden und LLMs.

@sarahalang@fedihum.org I think some aspects of data feminism already do play a role in Digital Humanities, even if they are not explicitly framed as such.. for example, when it comes to acknowledging all contributions to digital editions or recognizing the work of Research Software Engineers - it’s all about making labour visible.

@sarahalang@fedihum.org You may be right in a way, but the concrete implementation example your paper provides (i.e. modelling gender in correspondence networks) would itself in the end also fall under the “adjacent buzzword“ gender data gap.

Bei TELOTA suchen wir eine*n neue*n Mitarbeiter*in: @telota@fedihum.org Die Einsatzfelder können je nach Expertise verschieden aussehen (siehe https://dhd-blog.org/?p=21320).

Eines der möglichen Arbeitsfelder: Mein Team der Jean Paul Briefedition sucht jemanden mit Topic Modeling Kenntnissen und Front End/Visualisierungs Skills (vue.js u.ä.). Wir werden einen inhaltsorientierten (Analyse-)Zugang zu den am Ende rund 10.000 Briefen entwickeln. Bei Fragen meldet euch bei mir.
