Prismo really likes to climb into the Christmas tree for some reason.
This is also our boy who also likes to shotgun monster cans and get his head stuck in things. I love him

i can't believe they do this. their main tfa text system explicitly says not to do that. I had to call fidelity a second time, and then call my hr department to verify that it is in fact the right way to do it

i found out that I got my first cve today. it's a juniper bug where unprivileged users could bounce all the interface. I found it randomly while trying to build a tacacs system 🙃
I reported it 6 months ago, they didn't communicate about it at all with me (beyond saying it was with their security team), and they didn't give me credit for finding it...
that said it is fun to see something I found be recognized? credit would be better tho

I have no idea why changing my resolve.conf file to point at an external DNS made freebsd pkg downloads go from 16kbs to 180mbs. it also cleared up packet loss? I'm at a loss

let's see how long it takes juniper to give me credit for this cve they already published. I sent them a Cisco cve that had credit attributed as an example...

@plzupgrademe@fedi.txw.ca I tried everything I could think of. adjusting mirrors, releases, etc. but for some reason when using my companies DNS I was getting about 20% packet loss trying to hit pkg.freebsd.org. that went away when I pointed at 8.8.8.8. I'll have to talk to the ddi team tomorrow I guess
