Je me souviens de nos conversations à Strasbourg et à Paris, en particulier lors de moments où nous nous réunissions pour honorer la mémoire de sa mère, Simone Veil.
Il a porté cet héritage avec une discrétion et un engagement constants, notamment à travers son travail sur l’antisémitisme et au sein de la Fondation pour la Mémoire de la Shoah.

Glad that two months after @europarl_en@respublicae.eu voted for and signed the €90 billion support loan to Ukraine, EU Member States have today also cleared it.
Now we must act with urgency to get these funds where they are needed most. Ukraine needs this support on the ground now.
Together with the 20th sanctions package, this decision is important for defending European security and for achieving a just and lasting peace.

Saddened to hear of the sudden passing of US Senator @LindseyGrahamSC.
He was a titan of US politics, a voice for liberty across the world and a proud servant of South Carolina for more than three decades.
Senator Graham stood against tyranny, he understood the importance of supporting Ukraine in its darkest moments and of strengthening the transatlantic alliance between Europe and the United States.
When we were on stage together at the @MunSecConf earlier this year, I remember smiling as it became clear that he considered every threat from autocrats as a badge of honour - and it is testament to his global influence and lasting legacy how many he proudly wore.
He will be deeply missed by more people than he would ever know.
