Experimenting with getting a whip working from 160m to 6m.
It's a multisection alloy tent pole. The Inner elastic cord is replaced with a spring made from net curtain hanging stuff with plastic removed. Cord was too stretchy so brassed picture hanging wire cord is used.
160m to 30m use loading coils and transformers on toroids.
An 11 way switch selects band.
two trailing counterpoise wires are used, one is via a loading coil.
17m is bypass.
Surprisingly one of the band positions works for 4m.
