This is the #GameBoy Photo Booth for my cousin's wedding. It records from a Game Boy Camera and lets the guests print a souvenir on a Game Boy Printer.

(Yes, another cousin, another photo/video booth.)
I just pushed an update for my Android app α-Remote to allow focus bracketing on Sony Cameras with Bluetooth but without a native focus bracketing feature.
α-Remote is free and open source. Just search for "alpharemote" on F-Droid or Google Play.
This year's CNC'ed tree ornaments are Mario themed.

Man, I love USB-C. Just realized that I can show our vacation photos to my mother in law just by plugging a cheap portable screen directly into my phone with a single cable. The phone powers the screen.
Kudos to whoever relabeled our elevator call buttons.
Few days after we went on vacation, I got a low disk space warning from my NAS. Found an unexpected explanation after my return: Turns out a spider set up a net in front of the motion triggered camera to record a stream almost 24/7.
It finally happened. Had to get out the soldering iron on my cousin's wedding. My family will not let me hear the end of it.
Maybe not my greatest project, but this just had to be done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tp15pGTP_Y
Just had a scintigraphy and am so sad it had to be on a Friday:
I would have loved to run around the institute, urge colleagues to try a few detectors on me and insist to be called Radioactive Man.
Is there any non-shady explanation why my Sungrow solar inverter suddenly started to randomize its MAC address?
Tried to figure out if I can drop off a DHL Express International package at a DHL Packstation and got:
▪ An AI answer that is as long as it is wrong
▪ Half a page worth of ads for other parcel services
▪ Links to totally unrelated pages within dhl.com
And finally the same kind of correct answer you would have found in the 90s:
An extremely accurate and extremely condescending forum post, explaining why it is idiotic to expect a DHL Packstation to accept a DHL Express International package.
For users of my α-remote app:
I have just released a new beta version on the Play Store to test some new features.
- Combine bulb and intervalometer function
- Show remaining exposures for intervalometer
- Show video recording duration in the app
- Allow setting a duration for the trigger-on-focus trigger (relevant for bracketing shots)
- Several fixes and improvements
If you want to test it, you will find a button to join the public beta test on the app's Play Store page.
