I’m rewatching Star Wars and stormtroopers shoot several rebels when boarding Princess Leia’s starship. See, they don’t always miss. 😂

“How can I find my glasses when I don’t have my glasses?” sung by Garfunkel and Oats is one of the truths ever provided by song. 😂

@bedirthan@dice.camp @randomwizard@social.vivaldi.net Great way to describe it, IMO. I think DL also provides a way for newer/inexperienced/less confident DMs to run an epic campaign/adventure path. I think we sometimes undersell how hard it can be to plan and track all the events and consequences for world spanning campaigns. DL solves a lot of that (in admittedly heavy handed manner). Also, DMs have to keep the curtain up, because it's not just reduced "off camera" activity but PC agency gets impacted as well.

@bedirthan@dice.camp I am so on board with this rebrand. It’s such better framing and an approach.

@SJohnRoss Has the deal to buy WB been finalized yet? I'm holding out hope that something messes it up.

I used to keep up with the #SwordAndLaser book list, but life got busy and I fell behind. It led to a few books that I enjoyed and otherwise wouldn’t have tried. More importantly it kept me reading even when things were hectic, because I have an irrational need to complete lists like that. Coming back to it, I now have a bit of catching up to do.

@bedirthan@dice.camp That’s awesome. The DM of two of my earliest campaigns took that approach and it was a major reason they are two of my favorite campaigns of all time. He didn’t have any formal mechanics, just encouraged it when some ground rules that were specific to ensuring you didn’t interfere with others fun. I look forward to what you come up with.
