mastodon 4.7.3A fave joke:
Despondent guy on a bridge. Before he jumps, talks to God:
"Terrible childhood.
Got married; had a couple of kids.
Lost my job.
Wife left me.
Kids won't talk to me.
Why me, God?"
Voice from Heaven:
"I don't know; there's just something about you that pisses Me off."
"Leavitt says Interior will submit plans to begin construction of 250ft Trump arch"
If only he'd been born with a larger penis.
Political hysteria is now the norm.
I have the feeling that if the two major parties stopped trying to get us to hate each other, the many areas upon which we agree would cause imminent-doom political fund-raising to fall so precipitously that the existing framework for how to get nominated, campaign, get elected, and pass legislation would disintegrate, leaving PACs so exposed as to make Normal People on both sides demand their elimination.
As the "negotiations" have gone totally to shit I feel like now is a good time to repeat something I saw recently:
Q: "What's the big difference between Vietnam and Iran?"
A: "Trump knew how to get out of Vietnam."*
*if there is an author to credit, please do so.
Well, that miserable fuck Viktor Orbán lost, so I'm going to count this as a Good Day.

"#Meta and #YouTube fined $3 million for harming mental health"
Which is approximately how much money that falls out of #Zuckerberg's pants when he hangs them over the chair before bed.
This is literally nothing to them;
what a fucking joke.
Then why the FUCK did we expend our stockpile of weapons, lose American lives, alienate crucially important allies, at the whims of dick-swinging imbeciles who evidently mainly like to say "It blowed up real good" a la SCTV Farm Film Report's Big Jim McBob and Billy Sol Hurok?
"Pope criticises 'tyrants' who spend billions on wars after Trump spat"
"The poorly-rated Pope, whose numbers are very low, maybe the lowest of any Pope, is soft on war "
--Trump (soon, probably)
Came across this phrase in a medical article, and I'm disappointed they couldn't come up with terme even more awkward than "morningness" and "eveningness".
"Chronotype (morningness or eveningness preference) influences exercise performance and adherence."
"Scientists Discover Bizarre Crocodile Relative That Walked on Two Legs"
Been there, done that.
Thinking about the Strait of Hormuz makes me recall "Dune" book 1 -
"He who can destroy a thing has the real control of it."
I've decided the only legitimate use for AI is to create amusing videos of cats doing stuff.
