@gruber@mastodon.social just listened to the most recent Dithering and found it interesting. There was much discussion about let the Mac be the Mac and that it should look and feel separate from iOS/iPadOS. And in the past you have both praised iPadOS for becoming more macOS. I’m interested in why the distinction and if you think it’s just that you prefer macOS or is it something else?
@brendonbigley@mastodon.social as a former Apple employee who spent 11 years there, it was my favorite digital media player ever. I still miss it.

@gruber@mastodon.social that’s fair. A lot of the talk around iPadOS 26 was “we have these window management buttons and window resizing on the Mac, what if we brought them to iPad?” And there was much rejoicing. Whereas I was less than enthused about those changes. Haha
