So I'm contemplating getting a lance of Battletech miniatures and trying to paint miniatures for a first time, how bad of an idea is this?

Now, I do think planky might be more emotive than certain of the other actors though...

I wonder if anyone has done really cool action animations for MechWarrior/Battletech, like Astartes and Steel Cousins for 40K or Sodaz's animations for Fallout and Stalker.
