A younger attorney just walked into my office and said “I need help.” I responded “Sure, ask away.” He held up a form and said “I was told we need a cancelled check to process this.”
I expected to be asked why. Instead he asked “What’s a cancelled check?”
And my bones crumbled to dust immediately.
My small town Facebook page is once again discussing the woman who lives under the bridge in town. New residents are asking why the police don’t clear out this obvious nuisance.
The remainder of the town is responding “Why don’t you mind your own damn business she’s lived there for 30 years .”
A Costco membership is $65 annually. The gas there is typically about $0.20-$0.30 cheaper than the other stations in the area. My truck takes 22 gallons, and typically I fill it once a week. This amounts to savings of $228.80-$343.20 per year, net savings of $163.20-$278.20.
When dad was in law school my folks lived in Boston. One year over Easter weekend we all went up to visit their friends there, including Doreen.
Bright and early on Easter morning Doreen called our hotel to yell “HAPPY EASTAH!”
Thus our traditional family Easter greeting was born.
