@renchap @jerry @vmstan @doug One useful tool I could think of would be having a list of words that moderation could set at the instance level to be flagged for review before it appears to the users. If it's a legitimate use of the word, a simple checkbox can allow the post to appear/federate.
This won't catch all abuse, of course, but it'll at least offer some protection before harm is caused. Especially to newer instances who may not have a large blocklist yet.
