I'm finally nearly at the end of Grimstone and I think it was way better than I was expecting. Not one of the best games in the collection but its a pretty solid RPG with actually engaging combat. The little mini game you have to do on attacking turns makes me actually invested in the fights because missing is so detrimental. And I like how instead of a generic fantasy setting like most RPGs it takes place in an old timey western world with demons and guns. I believe it ties into other games in the collection too like Devilition and Rail Heist. My only complaint is that it is super long but I guess that also makes it unique in the collection of 50 mostly pretty short games but I do like how it feels like a complete adventure.

Honestly I think I prefer Divers which is the other RPG in the collection. Just because its more mechanically interesting with a unique gameplay loop and I liked the focus on exploring. Grimstone feels very much like the NES Final Fantasy games or like Dragon Quest while Divers does something completely unique. And its far shorter only taking me 6 hours to complete while Grimstone is like 20 hours long.

You should've attached the image of the chudjak sticking his thumb in his mouth and inflating his head until it's a big round balloon and in the second panel you see him flying away with a tiny body cause his head is so huge

They were able to make Meat Boy feel pretty close to how he did in the original game in 3D but I think he's a little slower and a little heavier
And I think it's harder to stop on a dime in mid air but the dash helps you switch directions instantly

I wish the DLC characters in Smash came with assist trophies and items. Like imagine if Steve came with a Creeper assist trophy that blew people up and you could make it a charged creeper by hitting it with electric attacks. Or Banjo could have a Mumbo Jumbo one that transforms your opponents into a washing machine.

Every item that I think is actual item bloat in Isaac. I think every other item serves some sort of purpose or has some actual use even if it's niche. Repentance only added one cause all those items are so interesting and good.

Official verdict.
Normal Apollyon is only so high up because of the glitch that lets you pick up an item and void it to get the free stats too. And because he can void items during the pickup animation to see if you wanna keep blind items.
Bottom are my most hated characters.

The full game is pretty great and the DLC is super high quality, like all the bosses are cooler than the base game ones. I ended up doing everything and getting 300% I think.

I've seen a bunch of people say that Barbuta is similar to this game so I'm going to try it out. I've never heard anything about it before so I have no idea what to expect really other than it being similar to Barbuta.
