What I really like with FOSS software is the mentality behind it. So because I'm using so many incredible software it's important to me to give back some of my "savings” with projects I use. Today I registered the start of a small monthly contribution to #Debian which is doing its magic underneath so many distros, and rarely gets spoken about :)

@nixCraft@mastodon.social This year I worked with AI to code all the little things that caused friction in my company, and extend my capabilities to add automations where possible. It worked extremely well. But it’s just a tool that comes in complement of my open source stack. When using it its limitations are obvious. I don’t see anything wrong with that.

I realize how beneficial #FOSS is, but also how little understood it is, because most people assume you can be passive with it, just use it the way you use commercial software, but for free haha. And I’d say number one problem is #education. (1/3)

@libreoffice Welcome ! Base is really the reason I’m on LO because it helps me connect to my SQL databases from ERP, but it does show its age ^^. Hope for many cool things to come!

@sebsauvage@framapiaf.org Onlyoffice est tourné commercial, c’est normal qu’ils veuillent utiliser le format le plus répandu je trouve. Par contre comme ils mettent l’open source en avant ils devraient au moins assurer une bonne compatibilité avec le .odf
