Every Israeli company, until proven otherwise, is complicit in Israel’s occupation, apartheid and genocide against Palestinians — a 78-year-old settler-colonial regime. But some were complicit from the very beginning, before and during the Nakba – the forced expulsion of approximately 750,000 Indigenous Palestinians from their homes in 1948.

Today, as we remember the Nakba, we focus on some of these companies that remain in operation — and call on people worldwide to escalate BDS pressure against them.

It is the duty of unions to ensure that the workers they represent—whether in ports, on ships, in businesses, or in government offices—are not involved, often without their knowledge and/or consent, in actions that involve complicity in atrocity crimes anywhere, including Israel’s war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide against Palestinians.

BDS alert: The ship MSC Virginia has just docked at the Italian port of Gioia Tauro. This ship is understood to be carrying steel to Israel for military use in its occupation, apartheid and genocide against Palestinians, and for its aggression against the peoples of the region.

Speaking to tens of thousands of people at the Uno Maggio festival in Taranto (Italy), UN Special Rapporteur @FranceskAlbs@mastox.eu calls BDS "the emblem of a nonviolent movement," led by the Palestinian people, who "refuse to be reduced to victims" — and invites people around the world to join us in ending complicity with Israel's occupation, apartheid and genocide.

Groundbreaking news: a Spain-based corporation is facing legal action for its complicity in Israel’s atrocity crimes against Palestinians.

The Basque train manufacturer CAF is deeply involved in maintaining and expanding Israel’s illegal Jerusalem Light Rail’s Red Line and is building the new Green Line. These lines connect illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank to West Jerusalem.

The Palestinian-led BDS movement salutes the coalition of Basque, Spanish and Palestinian community organizations, along with international lawyers, who are taking CAF to court. We call on people everywhere to escalate the campaign until CAF ends all complicity in apartheid, settler colonialism and illegal occupation.

Carrefour is no longer merely operating in apartheid Israel; it is increasingly embedded in complicit state-backed projects as Israel escalates settlement expansion, ethnic cleansing, and genocide against Palestinians.

Through the “Israeli Basket” project launched in cooperation with Israel’s Ministry of Economy, Carrefour has become a central partner in a state-backed economic initiative, which took effect on 15 April.

Under the plan, Carrefour offers discounts on specific products, with the Israeli government providing a subsidy of 50 million shekels (around $17 million).

The Palestinian-led BDS movement calls on solidarity groups, unions and wider civil society:

- In Denmark, to pressure authorities to investigate the Danica Violet as a Danish-flagged vessel, and H Folmer & Co operations more broadly, and to impose effective sanctions and remedial measures.

- In Greece, to pressure authorities to deny harbour to the Danica Violet.

- In Norway, to pressure Skuld to investigate and suspend the Danica Violet and the other complicit vessels of the H Folmer fleet for transporting military supplies to Israel

Since its inception in 2005, the BDS movement has reaffirmed that the boycott of Israel constitutes part of the global struggle against racism and all forms of oppression.

The movement has consistently condemned apartheid, genocide, slavery, colonial exploitation and ethnic cleansing – crimes against humanity founded on racism and racial supremacy.

The inspectors investigated the cargo that was already on the tarmac of the airport, discovered two packages of military cargo for Israel, and stopped their transfer to Israel.

On International Workers' Day, the Palestinian labor movement reiterates solidarity with workers across the world resisting all forms of oppression and calls for ending complicity in Israel's ongoing genocide and apartheid.

The Palestinian-led BDS movement congratulates PSNA. This win is a testament to the key role BDS partners play in holding complicit governments and institutions accountable for their failure to honor their legal obligations under international law.

The goods in question are classed as ML10 - a category in the EU Common Military List - and are spare parts for the M346 military training aircraft sent by Moog UK.

Upon inspection, a second parcel was discovered, falling under the ML05 label, reportedly originating from Elbit UK and destined for Israel.

The materiel was travelling from the UK to Israel with a stopover in the airport of the city of Liège (Belgium).

The High Court of New Zealand found the policy referenced by the New Zealand Superannuation Fund (NZ Super) in defense of its investments in companies complicit in Israel’s international crimes to be “unreasonable and unlawful.”

The bill was tabled by People Before Profit-Solidarity, and widely supported by opposition parties, including Sinn Fein.

It proposed to prohibit all trade, investment, financial dealings and state-linked economic activity with genocidal Israel.

The BDS movement condemns the Irish government’s ongoing complicity in Israel’s genocide and apartheid against Palestinians and reminds it that states must act, not posture, to comply with their legal obligations under international law.

Words are not enough—neither for the Irish people nor for Palestinians.
