The BBC News Verify team has published their first article using a new open media provenance technology called C2PA that we've been working on for the past three years.

This shows where media comes from and how it’s been edited - like an audit trail or a history.

Artificial intelligence and content verification has been a focus of a couple of our early episodes:

• Ep 1 covers generative AI and the creative opportunities and potential ethical issues.

• Ep 2 looks at disinformation - and how we're working to establish standards for Content Credentials like @C2PA_org which will help journalists prove the authenticity of their stories.

• Ep 3 discusses Large Language Models - what is an LLM, and how could they be used to enhance what the BBC does?
