I suppose Europeans are used to misc charges, like €0.50 to use a toilet in a mall, so that worked.

@tprophet@defcon.social @dascandy42@mastodon.social I believe RyanAir brings passengers who spend at airport shops etc, and there's some mechanism by which it gets part of that take. Maybe that's an indirect ancillary?
