Minnesota is turning up the heat.
Melt the ICE Week of Action is on — direct actions, teach-ins, community defense, and a clear demand: ICE out of Minnesota, ICE out of existence.

After months of federal violence, people are stepping up with strategy, solidarity, and refusal.
This week, the Twin Cities show what organized resistance looks like.

Full schedule + calls to action: https://melttheicemn.com/

🎬 **New film: BLOCKADE! ** Five years of struggle, blockades, and solidarity across Nehirowisiw territory. This short film shows how Indigenous resistance forced the Quebec government to withdraw Law 97, a destructive forestry bill ignored by mainstream media.

📽️ Watch, download, and screen the film in your communities. Ready-to-print posters are available to help you organize local screenings.

At Amplifier Films, we usually tell stories about land defense, resistance, and communities fighting back.
But today, we’re excited to spotlight a different kind of project from our founder, @franklinlopez@kolektiva.social

Franklin has been cooking up a kids’ book series called Koko Sisi & Kiki Pupú — a wild, funny, adventure-filled world created to spark imagination and get kids excited about reading.

He’s now raising funds to write Book 2, and the way he’s doing it is beautifully simple:
every piece of merch sold helps him keep the series going.

If you’ve got little readers in your life (or just love supporting creative projects born in our communities), check it out, grab a sticker or a shirt, and help bring the next chapter to life.

Merch + books available via https://papi-studio.myshopify.com/

Thanks for supporting independent stories for kids.

🎥 New video — Camp Sovereignty | Winter Sovereignty Amplifier Films visited Camp Sovereignty in the dead of winter to document what it means to protect the territory through the coldest months of the year. We spoke with supporters and Elders on the land and witnessed everyday life at the camp, including subsistence practices, showing that Atikamekw culture is alive and practiced on the territory, outside the reserve, deep in the forest. This video is part of our ongoing media support for a struggle we’ve been documenting for over five years, toward a feature-length documentary in development. Camp Sovereignty urgently needs support, both on the ground and financially, to make it through the winter. 👉 Watch the video and support the camp: http://campsouverainete.org/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imlKG6SW6S8

Today, Nehirowisiw land defenders and their allies forced several logging trucks from the company Crete to turn back after attempting to harvest wood illegally on unceded territory. The struggle continues, and physical support is urgently needed at km 134 on Chemin Parent. If you can’t make it in person, you can donate at campsouverainete.org. To learn more about this fight, watch our film BLOCKADE / BLOQUAGE. #Nehirowisiw #CampSouverainete #LandDefense #Blockade #ForestDefense #UncededTerritory #AntiColonial #Atikamekw #Solidarity #DefendersOfTheForest

Deep gratitude to Regards Palestinians, the organizers, and the team at Sala Rossa for hosting a sold-out screening that brought so many people together in one room. It was an honor to share works-in-progress from Red Road to Palestine, Amplifier Films, and powerful documentaries made by Palestinian filmmakers whose voices and stories are essential.

What stayed with us most was not just the films, but the space that was created — for listening, for connection, for conversation rooted in care and accountability. This is why we make films: to bring people together in the real world, to build relationships, and to create moments where collective understanding can grow.

We also make these films with the hope that they don’t end when the credits roll. That they help move people toward action — toward organizing, solidarity, and material support for liberation struggles. Story is a tool. Connection is a starting point. Action is where it has to go.

If you’re interested in organizing a screening — in person or via Zoom — we’d love to hear from you. Let’s keep building spaces where stories fuel movement.

This excerpt from A Red Road to Palestine closes a circle that began in 2016, when Clifton traveled to Palestine at Rehab’s invitation. Nine years later, in 2025, he was finally able to welcome her to Kanehsatà:ke, bringing both struggles into the same frame.

This is part of our documentary currently in production.
If you want to support the project, you can donate through our website or pick up a Gord Hill keffiyeh or hoodie.
Every contribution helps us move the film forward.

This photo was taken at the Rockweed Center in Belfast, Maine, where folks are getting ready to screen BLOCKADE! this Sunday at 5:30 p.m.

If you’re in the area, come hang out, watch three short films on land, food, and culture, and join the conversation about solidarity with Indigenous and immigrant communities.
And yes—there will be $1.50 slices of pizza. Absolute win.

If you want to host your own screening anywhere in the world, everything you need is free to download: the film, the poster, and the screening kit.
All at https://amplifierfilms.ca

Show up, bring a snack, spread the word, and keep the fire moving.
