The first fax machine was patented by Scottish inventor Alexander Bain on May 27, 1843. He called it the "Electric Printing Telegraph". And President Abraham Lincoln died at 7:22 a.m. on April 15, 1865. So there was a 22 year window where a Samurai could send a fax to Abraham Lincoln! @stux@mstdn.social But to use the fax, in those days, one had to #ThinkOutOfTheBox. That is: the box the fax came in.
