#redsox

The #RedSox season seems to be ending tonight and while I’m disappointed they didn’t put up more of a fight against the #Yankees it’s really incredible they made it to the playoffs at all considering how poorly they started out this year. I’ll still have fond memories of that July streak for the rest of my life, it was amazing to witness and be a part of. I also approve of the new manager, Tracy. At least I won’t have to stress about baseball in October, LOL. ⚾️🖖

@gedeonm@mastodon.social Maybe next time they should plan to bring some bats ;p #yankees #redsox

This game is not going to plan. #RedSox #Yankees

#RedSox Pitching Coach Andrew Bailey on Payton Tolle: "I'm just really proud of the work that he's put in and the success that he's had. There's a lot more meat on the bone too, and I'm excited for him to have that opportunity to get us off on this postseason on the right foot."

#RedSox Manager Chad Tracy goes with rookie Payton Tolle as Game 1 starter for American League Wild Card Series. "I just feel like we're pretty confident in who he is as a pitcher and what he brings to the table, regardless of who he's facing." Sonny Gray for Game 2, Ranger Suarez for Game 3.

American League went to a 162-game schedule in 1961. Since then, 5 #RedSox have appeared in all games of the season, including Dwight Evans, the only one to do it twice: George Scott (1966) Carl Yastrzemski (1969) Jim Rice (1978, 163 games) Dwight Evans (1982, 1984) Bill Buckner (1985)

⭐️ #RedSox held to just 5 hits today for the 36th time this season. It's their most games with 5 or fewer hits in a BOS season since 1968 (also 36 games). The Sox had the fewest such games in baseball last year (23).

#RedSox Manager Tracy: "This was game 162 so it signifies the end of the regular season. Knowing that we were at 47 losses in June, or whatever it was, to finish that way was sensational." Says, "I am very proud of what they've accomplished over the last few months."

Tomorrow, an off-day. Then on Tuesday it will be Game 1 of American League Wild Card Series at #Yankees. #RedSox have not yet announced their starter for Game 1.

Well, the regular season for the Boston #RedSox came to an end. What a crazy, wild ride this season has been. It was so much fun watching them go on that month long winning streak back in July. Even if they don’t do well in the playoffs, I still completely enjoyed it. Pretty good considering how poorly they started out. Onwards and hopefully upwards. 👍⚾️🧢
