Adobe ad going around where you're invited to use their bespoke LLM thing to adjust existing text and one of the key options is "make it longer."
As a consequence of my editing process, my novel is getting longer. Not because I need to hit a #. It's needed to add missing details or show v. tell.
We're already in a situation where things are needlessly long for no reason (often instigated by LLM use), leading to people skimming things or using an LLM to summarize the overlong thing.
It's absurd to suggest using an LLM to lengthen stuff.
