Three good things today:

  1. I got to cover a ton of new books in my favorite genres-- horror, LGBTQ, cookbooks, and Halloween-ish stuff. :) cross posted LGBTQ teasers to the local LGBTQ group!
  2. Got to make a usually-sour older man laugh (actually we all laughed) when he asked (seriously) if I had handcuffs on my belt. It's a fancy leather waist pack from the Renn fair, and. It was my keys clanking. I thoughts cuffs would be a good idea. He agreed. Then he asked who was wearing patchouli looking at both of us behind the desk including my coworker who is cis male, black, and very tall. It was Me. He said thank you! "I used to put it in my laundry back in the day". Some how this was all just awesome and ridiculous, and the best last five minutes of the closing shift ever. Sauciness over patchouli and handcuffs. Lol. We were all giggling.
  3. Really good cherry tomatoes from a farm stand, with fresh mozzarella.... Heck yeah! Grateful to the small growers near us. Mega farm produce is just not as good.

I'm going to get handcuffs for my belt. #threeGoodThings #gratitude #patchouli #laughter
