At no point do they address the elephant in the room, that is that Nigeria is a country rigged with poverty and corruptions, whose resources have been exploited by the #GlobalNorth for the last 3 centuries and that the #NigerianPrinceScam is just one of the #neoliberal #digital response of the #GlobalSouth. The fact that these scams cause a lot of harm is indeed a serious issues, but not one you solve by going after already precarious young men just scrapping the leftover from #capitalism !

@gerrymcgovern@mastodon.green @adamantichrist@mastodon.social I don't know, my country (#pakistan) has a huge population but 47% of it's area has the least population density. The poorest of the poor have limited awareness about contraceptives measures and they usually have more kids (also have a very high mortality rate). This seems more like a #globalnorth issue to me but hey I am no expert 🤷‍♀️ https://usfblogs.usfca.edu/sustainability/2023/04/20/overconsumption-not-overpopulation-debunking-the-overpopulation-myth-and-eco-fascism/
