Encore by Arthur Verocai Featuring Azymuth & Ivan Lins, released on Far Out Recordings in 2007. "After decades of cult reverence for his 1972 masterpiece, Arthur Verocai returned with Encore — an album that feels less like a comeback than a revelation. Recorded in Rio with a dream ensemble including Azymuth and Ivan Lins, it bridges generations of Brazilian musicianship into a single, radiant expression. Strings swirl with cinematic poise, horns breathe like dialogue, and Verocai’s arrangements glide between soul-jazz sophistication and Brazilian rhythmic intricacy. Tracks like “Bis,” “Filhos,” and “Daquele Jeito” glow with nostalgia and invention — the feeling of remembering something you’ve never heard before."
