8 September 1929 | A German Jewish girl, Elinor Oettinger, was born in Hamburg. She emigrated to the Netherlands. Deported from #Westerbork to #Theresienstadt ghetto & then to #Auschwitz where on 18 Oct 1944 she was murdered in a gas chamber with her mother Betti & brother Ralf.

6 September 1898 | German Jewish woman, Hilde Strauss, was born in Adelsberg (today part of Chemnitz). She emigrated to Belgium and France. She was deported to #Auschwitz from Drancy on 17 August 1942. She did not survive.

5 September 1938 | A Polish Jewish boy, Jchiel Bela Tiszman, was born in Płońsk. In 1942 he was deported from the ghetto in Płońsk to #Auschwitz. He was murdered in a gas chamber.

5 September 1932 | A Dutch Jewish boy, David Ossendrijver, was born in Rotterdam. He arrived at #Auschwitz on 7 April 1944 in a transport of 240 Jews deported from #Westerbork. He was among 111 of them murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

1 September 1924 | A Norwegian Jew Arne Kronik was born. In #Auschwitz from 1 December 1942. No. 79155 He perished in the camp in February 1943.

31 August 1900 | A Pole, Paweł Cabaj, was born in Sarnów. A farm worker. In #Auschwitz from 24 May 1941. No. 16262 He perished in the camp on 16 October 1941.

30 August 1926 | Belgian Jewish boy, Jacques Hoenig, was born in Antwerp. He was deported to #Auschwitz from Kazerne Dossin in Mechelen on 11 August 1942. He did not survive.

26 August 1938 | A French Jewish girl, Paulette Kerner, was born in Paris. She arrived at #Auschwitz on 29 September 1942 in a transport of Jews deported from Drancy. She was murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

22 August 1911 | Pole Edward Dudek was born in Czermina. A bank clerk. In #Auschwitz from 30 July 1941 No. 19805 He perished in the camp on 22 November 1941.

22 August 1925 | German Jewish boy Erich Günther Gutmacher was born in Berlin. He emigrated to the Netherlands. In August 1942 he was deported to #Auschwitz and registered in the camp after the selection (no. unknown). He perished in the camp on 22 August 1942.

10 August 1918 | A Greek Jew, Avraam Tevet, was born in Thessaloniki. He was deported to #Auschwitz. He did not survive.

9 August 1934 | A French Jewish boy, Henri Kotlina, was born in Nancy. In November 1942 he was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

7 August 1938 | A Czech Jewish girl, Eva Justitzová, was born in Karlovy Vary. She was deported to #Auschwitz from #Theresienstadt Ghetto on 18 May 1944. She did not survive.

7 August 1902 | A Polish woman, Helena Sarna, was born in Oświęcim (the city where Nazi Germany stablished the Auschwitz camp during occupation). In #Auschwitz from 1 February 1943. No. 33323 She perished in the camp on 10 March 1943.

6 August 1895 | A Czech, Karl Denk, was born. A waiter. In #Auschwitz from 20 May 1942. No. 35857 He perished in the camp on 8 July 1942.

6 August 1931 | A Czech Jewish girl Eva Redischova was born in Prague. She was a daughter of Arnost & Elsa. On 12 September 1942 she was transferred to Theresienstadt Ghetto. On 23 October 1944 Eva was murdered in a gas chamber at #Auschwitz II-Birkenau. She was 13 years old.
