“A passenger undressed completely and was seen by others touching herself indecently”: the plane incident and the action of the flight attendants.
Those aboard flight AA1779, which departed from Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport and landed in Miami on Friday, September 11th, will likely remember little of the wait before takeoff – the aircraft had been delayed by over an hour and a half compared to what was scheduled – as they would recall what happened while the plane was at an altitude of 38,000 feet.
This is according to the “AirLive” website, which also accessed the ACARS (Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System) communication system logs. It’s thanks to these logs that it's possible to reconstruct what occurred on the flight to Miami, Florida. The flight attendants reportedly identified a problem within the forward right cabin.
They would then inform the cockpit crew about what was happening. “The lead flight attendant (FA1) reports that the passenger in seats 9 D-E-F undressed completely and was seen by other passengers touching themselves inappropriately. The Flight Operations Manager (FOM) is instructed to report the incident to the IOC/OSM and involve law enforcement,” according to the logs.
