If it’s about saving money? Minecraft. It’s been around for an age, but it has so many variations through modding, you get years of play for the one price. If it’s about mechanical quality? Spelunky. It’s smooth and nearly completely glitch-free. It’s elegant in its simplicity to enjoyability ratio. It has enough variation to make every run a bit different, but not so much that every run is just wild blind choices and (un)lucky draws. If it’s about story quality? Pacific Drive. It goes on sale fairly regularly and goes below $10 on steam. The story and gameplay are nicely intertwined, well written, and well voice-acted.

The frog suits were about making it hard for fox news types to show a load of black bloc guys shouting and looking scary to justify greater police violence. It’s much more difficult to get even incredibly stupid people to look at an inflatable unicorn and think scary monster than a masked man in all black.

The passion drives one to act, not read. The informed are resistant to the emotional manipulation of memes.

The perpetual paradox of political education. Books transmit information. The knowledge they confer will simultaneously make you better informed about how to design a better society, but less and less certain about whether revolution will encourage or even allow that kind of society. Memes transmit emotions, instilling the passion to enact revolution, but leaving you with no knowledge of how to revolt, or how to rebuild afterward.

As the character gets older it seems like in the same way the original gave young people ways to understand their feelings of anger and sadness, it wouldn’t be the worst idea to have a fully serious but carefully done movie or just short film on dealing with what happens when the feeling ‘Horny’ takes the controls.

I hate it, but I’m not sure that’s true. A part of me always wonders how much of the Red Team’s anti-LGBT shouting happens because there was a subset of them who are dogmatically hateful of minorities of basically any type, which the Blue Team then used in smear tactics to generate negative partisanship because America is, in theory, supposed to be against discrimination against minorities, but by making the issue more prominent, the Blue Team may have forced the issue to polarize into something for the Red Team either to fully ignore, as they do with other inconveniently ugly elements of their support base, or turn into a central pillar, and they decided to centralize it, turning what was a quiet minority hate, bad but limited in scope, into almost industrial scale hatemongery powered by politically aligned media systems. It seems worryingly plausible that by creating a political codification of trans-ness, it took anti-trans hate from being caused by religious delusions and turned it into a way to ‘be a good American’ for a much larger audience. When you also consider how the Dems don’t really change much of anything when they do ‘stand against’ anything because they seem mostly to do it for the looks rather than real support, I have to wonder if turning trans people into a rallying flag will just lead to more trans people being attacked, legally and illegally.

Step one, check the litter box. Any cat raised indoors is usually litter trained by their mother, so there could be something about their litter box they aren’t liking. (Too clean/dirty, too small, too open/closed, wrong smell, wrong litter, it’s a robot that tries to eat them, etc.)
