His first example came from the same summit. That morning, McKenzie said, a filmmaker had told the audience that his film was banned in Egypt but that people could still see it there thanks to piracy. When dealing with this type of banned content and censorship, piracy is put in a different light, apparently with filmmakers praising it. However, when poor people pirate, they face legal issues, McKenzie said. He called the industry’s approach “a bit schizophrenic” with “dual standards.” Not really a double standard as most people use the term. If it’s not available by standard means, it’s not really piracy.

The thing that got us to #1 was opposable thumbs and intelligence. Other animals have one or the other. Octopi are dextrous enough without thumbs, but they are solitary animals with relatively short lifespans. If they lived longer and worked together, they would rule the oceans.

Not really. You can browse without creating an account, but if you want to keep your info out, I would call a trustworthy local broker and give them only enough contact info to get ahold of you.

Plenty of network cameras, plus anything to run Frigate. But what are you going to do once you have the video? Usually people want very obvious cameras as a deterrent, to discourage the crime in the first place. If you set the camera and catch them, are you going to confront them? File a police report that will probably do nothing?

I remember one study about microplastics gave up because either they couldn’t find an uncontaminated control, or their measuring equipment was contaminating it. I’m not sure if they could tell which one it was.

Lead pipes are safe while they’re stable. If they get moved or cut or anything, or acid removes the protective layer, then they can become unsafe. Kind of like asbestos. Lead in avgas, on the other hand, is definitely unsafe.

Hmm. If you’re somewhere with strict laws, like Singapore or something, I would also consider whether there might be a law against secret recording, or recording of other people, and whether that includes audio or just video.

Oh yeah that’s different. Apparently it’s possible. Under custom formats, click the plus, name “season pack”, click the plus, click release type, name “season pack”, release type season pack, check required, save, save. Then go to quality profiles, open the one you use, and under custom formats, set the score for the one you created to 10. Done in two minutes. trash-guides.info/…/sonarr-collection-of-custom-f… trash-guides.info/…/sonarr-import-custom-formats/

Elon Musk is African-American. I went to high school with a guy who was a Muslim from Africa. Guess what, also white and from South Africa. (Yeah I know white South Africans are anthropologically generally more recently from Europe than Africa; this is just a criticism of the term “African-American”.)

Immich isn’t complex, and I don’t think it requires a separate database. Edit: just checked and technically it does, but if you use the docker compose then it deploys it automatically and you don’t have to think about it at all. Edit2: if you really want something dead simple, yeah you could trivially write a tiny script to list and thumbnail images. I’m sure there are apache plugins for exactly this.

You can also put it through sandboxes like joesandbox or cuckoo to try to trigger and detect a payload. But some malware will expect this and not execute. Ultimately, judge your own risk tolerance by how much you trust the source, how much you want the software, what kind of systems protection you have in place (antivirus, antimalware, permissions control, backups), and how much you can afford to have your system compromised.

You don’t really need to mess with the quality profiles, the defaults are fine. All they do is filter the resolution/bitrate. You set a download to look for HDTV-1080p and it’ll look for something up to or including that resolution. Each quality profile also has a size picker with min/preferred/max setpoints, like 3.5GiB/h, so a one-hour video would be 3.5GiB. This is to filter something labeled as 1080p, but if it’s an hour long and only 20 MB it’s almost certainly a fake, which you want it to skip.

What are you running on your router? If you use opnsense, I’m pretty sure it has a GUI for DNS stuff. Been a while since I’ve used it. If you use pihole for DNS, you can set it up in there too, but it’s not the same process as most other systems.
